Our mission

Instituto Académico-Científico Quispe-Cornejo (𝙄𝙉𝘼𝘼𝙌𝘾 ᴮᴼ) is an 𝓲𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓲𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓮 that encourages and applies the 𝕋𝔼𝔸𝕄𝕎𝕆ℝ𝕂 spirit connecting world-renowned experts with healthcare providers and other professionals who share similar interests, passion and vision about medical «science, education and technology».


We are an academic-scientific workgroup that pursues high-quality continuing medical education and scientific production oriented to Bolivia and Latin-America.


We do our best to create opportunities and perform consistent training to broaden our perspective about the medical ‘academic, scientific and clinical’ world.

ABOUT 𝙄𝙉𝘼𝘼𝙌𝘾 ᴮᴼ

About the founder

Armin Alvaro Quispe Cornejo, MD, Ph.D. candidate, is a Bolivian physician living in Belgium. Being born and raised in Bolivia, he identified many opportunities for improvement in education. He was eager to broaden his knowledge worldwide, having worked in different centers in Bolivia, Paraguay, Mexico, and Belgium.


He is an Internal Medicine specialist from UMSA (La Paz, Bolivia) and an Intensive Care  Medicine specialist from UNAM (Mexico). He is currently (2021) a young clinical scientist in the Department of Intensive Care of Erasme University Hospital, in Brussels (Belgium) where many articles have been published in renowned Scientific Journals. He is being involved in tens of European and worldwide clinical-research projects namely the NEUROSEPSIS project.


Armin works with a large networking across the world together with the expert advise and mentorship from prestigious medical scientists. He is the main author of the ‘Bolivian Guidelines for the Management and Treatment of COVID-19 in the ICU’, endorsed by the SBMCTI, the Bolivian Health Ministry and the Mexican foundation Carlos Slim. 


He is devoted to cultivating science, education, and technology in the Latino-American Bolivian medical and non-medical population, having a weekly health-related chronicle in a newspaper, named "Perlas Cientificas".


He describes himself as "un ser humano que desea aprender incansablemente, vivir apasionadamente y servir desprendidamente".
